Hannah Nieves: Leaving a National Director Position to Build a Multi-Passionate Movement

HN Haus: A community and network for multi-passionate women. We host masterminds, events, and retreats and have a shop that supports high-level founders.

Who do you serve and why?

Women, more specifically multi-passionate women. I’ve always resonated with doing more than one thing and we’ve cultivated a community doing just that.

How long have you been in business?

Entering year 3! Started my business in January 2020.

What were you doing before you started this business?

I started my career in the Capital Markets Division of a commercial real estate firm – I was underwriting real estate assets. Then moved to Director of Marketing and Trade Development for a national home storage brand where I still consult today. I LOVE the design and real estate world.

How & why did you start this business?

I started it because of burnout – years of a vicious cycle that caused me to go into the hospital. I always knew I wanted more but it took that event to realize it.

The most pivotal moment in my business was…

When I realized this was becoming bigger than me. When I decided I was building a multidimensional business and actually let go of half of our agency roster to support the transition.

If there’s anything you could change in your story, what would it be and why?

Take bigger risks. I would have also started investing earlier.

What has been the most fulfilling part of your entrepreneurial journey?

Seeing other women find freedom and do what they love.

What has been the most challenging part of your entrepreneurial journey?

Managing personal challenges while running this machine.

If you had to do it all over again, what would be your response?

Enjoy the season you’re in. I find that I was so focused on growth that it cost me in certain areas. Embrace the present.
